2016/01/04 - Keith Hudson - Tuff Gong Encounter / Jammy's Dub Encounter - 17th North Parade / VP Records 2015

UNIQUE Keith Hudson, (1946 - November 1984) was an enigmatic singer and songwriter who made a major impact in music with his unique brand of reggae.
"Tuff Gong Encounter" is the unreleased final album that Hudson recorded with members of The Wailers in 1984 at Tuff Gong Studio.
These six masterpieces of rasta communications were intended for an album to be released on that time, but that never came out as Hudson succumbed to cancer and passed away in November 1984.
It's an absolutely oustanding album, in which The Wailers sound is intact (could hear Bob Marley singing through "White Africa", either "Rebel Rasta" riddims).
Vocal Mixes and Dub Mixes by King Jammy's done on the 21st century.
Absolutely fascinating / detailed story about Keith Hudson told in the booklet notes by Vincent Ellis.
A work that finally sees the day of light,a must have album for Keith Hudson fans, for roots reggae and Wailers collectors in general !
