Born in August 29th 1980, Jamaica, Miami’s based singer / songwriter / musician Kashief Lindo started recording at tender age of six with the help of his father, the musical wizard that no needs introductions, Mr.Willie Lindo. Influenced mostly by his father and the melodic voice of Beres Hammond, Kashief recorded his first project in 1993. "Push For Your Goal" was targeted specifcally to children students between 5 and 12 years old with the objective of entertaining and most importantly be educational. One year later have been released the project that made Kashief be known across the world, "Trouble Free" once again produced by his father, gives us solid rhythms shared by Kashief’s beautifull harmonies (he had 14 years old) and delivers an enormous vocal maturity when he sang the remake of Jimmy Cliff’s seventies hit, "Many Rivers To Cross" , "Oh Lord Why Lord", "Baby Why" from The Cables or even the title track. To date, "Trouble Free" has been the best selling album on Heavybeat label. "Kashief Sings Christmas" is in my opinion one of the best albums livicated the Christmas sipirit, mature vocals, with very enjoyable melodies, is naturally a classic Reggae (album) Christmas. His fourth project called "Soul & Inspiration" includes some beautifull covers from Leroy Sibbles "Baby Be True", "Ribbon In The Sky" and "Sunshine Of My Life" well known from Stevie Wonder, the enjoyables "Love Will Be", "I Still Believe In You" and the fantastic duet with Beres Hammond "(Jamaica) Island Of Freedom", acompanied by some of the best Reggae musicians, Willie Lindo, Sly Dunbar, Robbie Lyn and Computer Paul. "What Kind Of World" released in 1997 is loaded with strong classic remakes, such the title track (The Cables song), "Michael Jackson’s "She’s Out My Life", Blue Notes "Don’t Leave Me This Way", The Chilites "Coldest Days" and once again from Stevie Wonder "I Can’t Help It", always with original songs like "I’m A Big Man Now" (telling us that Kashief was no longer a little boy but now a mature artist and musician) and my favourite "Just Say When" . "We Need Love" have been released in 1999, now with his 20 years old he delivers maturity in all levels, original lyrics and original riddims (except on some songs like "Give Me Strenght" rhythm taken from Cat Stevens song "Wild World" or "Travelling" taken from the Dennis Brown rhythm song "Wolves & Leopards") once again played by musicians like Mafia & Fluxy, Lloyd "Gitsy" Willis, , Sly & Robbie, Willie Lindo and Kashief’s himself. Kashief Lindo have already performed in places like Japan (Japansplash 1995 with artists like Freddie McGregor, Little Kirk, Apache Indian, etc), Jamaica, The Caribean, New York and South Florida.
