Here for the first time on CD, the foundation music of Laurel Aitken. This compilation
is the most complete available, showcasing not only early Ska recordings, but also
Boogie-Shuffle, R & B and Calypso. Laurel Aitken has lived 11 years in Cuba, 22 years
in Jamaica and 39 years in England, this tracks have been recorded in the late 50's and
early 60's, includes hit tracks produced by the late Duke Reid, as well as featuring the
talents of Ska legends - Ernest Ranglin, Rico Rodriguez, Val Bennet, Ken Richards, Stanley
Ribbs, Ruddy & Sketto, Booby Gaynair and Eddie Thornton, just to mention that today,
he is 72 and still performing live all over the world, still recording, still creating
history and it's legacy for years to come.
