Sam Gansah - "One Love System + Jah Had A Reason"
Sam Ghansah hails from a family whose reputation has long been sown within the musical archives of Ghana, a west African Nation. The late sixties and early seventies, his uncle, Nana Essoh, lead singer of the Workers Brigade Band, released various national highlife hits. It's no wonder Sam embraces a diverside range of musical rhythms, from spiritual, roots reggae, highlife to Agbadza, as he expresses a messge of universal appeal through a soulful melodic voice.
He migrated to the US in 1986 where he performed as a keyboard player with Tommy Darling & Watu Wazuri, an African reggae band whose single "Market Palyboy" was a sucess. In the bitter cold winter of 1996 within the "Shark Bite Studios" in Chicago, Sam recorded his "One Love System" with true reggae hits like "False Game", the harmonious "Roots Of Love", "Book Of Life" "African Warrior" and "Natty Run".

After the release in 1997 of "One Love System" Sam's experiences and inspirations made way for the creation of his 1999's release "Jah Had A Reason" a beautifull album that follows the same style of "One Love System" (Afro-Roots Reggae) with more great tracks like "African Freedom" (translation of Emperaror Hailé Selassié 1 speech in 1955 at Addis Ababa), "Mystic Nature", "Irie Feeling" and "Ebusua".
