Various - " Phill Pratt Thing "
Phillip Choukoe a.k.a Phill Pratt was early introduced into the music business by his brother Winston Harris who taught him how to play guitar. His first self-recording was the single "Sweet Songs". Following this hit, the well known Reggae Producer Bunny "Striker" Lee introduced to Phill with Ken Lack of Caltone Records. It was through this Record Label when Phill produced four new songs ("Rock Out", "Little Things Mean A Lot", "My Love Is An Open Book" and "My Heart Is Overflowing With Love"). In 1968 Phill Pratt founded his own Record Label called -" Sunshot ".The next decade he was working along with musicians like the guitarist LynnTait and sometimes with Top Reggae superstars like Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Carlton "Santa" Davis, Eric "Bingy Bunny" Lamont, etc. At that period, he produced several songs for the best Reggae Artist from that time. Some of these musical works has been recovered by the Reggae Label Pressure Sounds under this excellent compilation album, Ken Boothe, considered by Phil himself as ...The Greatest Singer In TheWorld ..." featured into dis powerful CD with two classics, one of them is "I'm Not For Sale". Also The Heptones recorded "Party Time" for Phill Pratt, following the respectiv instrumental version."Sound of Now Dub" by Bobby Kalphat playing the keyboads. "Talk About Love" by Pat Kelly with special guest Dillinger is my favorite track from this treasure, i can't forget Dennis Brown´s "Let Love In" followed by the version "Big Score" by Dillinger.
Well, "Phill Pratt Thing" has been named to be one of the best Music works into dis new millennium.
